Perhaps the greatest threat to our planet in modern times is climate change.The general warming of the environment is attributed to mankind's emissions of carbon dioxide, mainly from the burning of fossil fuels. Each one of us is responsible to a greater or lesser extent, depending on our individual lifestyle.

Trees help combat the changes by `breathing in' carbon dioxide in a process called photosynthesis, and `breathing out' oxygen. The more trees we have, the more carbon dioxide is removed from the atmosphere, and the more we help to combat the change by compensating for the carbon dioxide we produce. This is called `carbon offsetting'.

The Oxygen Shop offers you an exciting opportunity to help. Here you can assess your own carbon dioxide production based on, for example, your car usage, or the number of flights you take per year, and then purchase trees which will absorb carbon dioxide and produce oxygen for many years to come. Perhaps you have been looking for a way to do something? Maybe you have no room at home to plant trees? Here is your solution.

We plant the trees to create new woodland and look after them for you, but you can visit us and plant the trees yourself if you wish!
