Top Tips to Reduce your Environmental Impact!

Have a shower instead of a bath.  Saving upto 45 litres of water and the energy used to heat it!

Turn the tap off while you clean your teeth – saving up to 15 Litres of water per day!

Only fill the kettle with the water you need – reduces CO2 emissions by 20gms per day (depending on how many cups of tea you have!)

Turn your thermostat down by 1 degrees centigrade. This will reduce your heating bill by up to 10% and save you £40 per year.

Close your curtains at dusk to stop heat escaping through the windows.

Turn your lights off when you leave the room.  A 100w bulb left on for half an hour can fill a party balloon with CO2.  Lights also account for up to 15% of your electricity bill!

Save one third of heating costs by installing loft insulation of at least 10 inches thick. You lose nearly 50% of heat through loft spaces and walls.
